“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him” (1 John 2:15)

There was a 40-year-old millionaire a Cosmetic Surgeon but with a stage 4 lung cancer. As a Young man, he grew up with the idea that “Happiness is about success and success is about being wealthy.” He, therefore, purused success vigorously all the days of his vanity on earth. He got all the trophies, cars, Houses and fame. He though he got everything under his control and had reached the pinnacle of success, but surely he got no happiness or comfort in all his pursuit.

The worldly way is devotion to the temporal world as opposed to the way of God Almighty. Are you like the surgeon who pursued success and wealth vigorously but never pursued Christ and eternity in heaven? Stop pursuing the world and remember that there is one up there who needs your attention Give God attention and not the world.

Challenge: Stop the worldly pursuit.
