Enticement- Satan makes sin or disobedience to God very attractive

“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed” (James 1:14)

Whenever you drop a piece of cake on the floor, ants will gather around to feast on it. That means that the piece of cake attracts those ants to itself. Often those ants feasting on the cake enjoy it for a short while and are killed when cleaning up exercises are carried out. The ants that did not come out of their safe places to enjoy the cake are usually spared the negative consequence that comes with it, Have you realized that Satan makes sin or disobedience to God very attractive? That is what is called enticement or allurement.

My good friends, Satan will make sin every attractive to you like the piece of cake will attract ants to itself, The purpose behind it is to destroy you will like those ants are killed during the clean-up exercise. God made man a free moral agent. You may be mocked by your friends for rejecting Satan’s allurement. They may say you are not trendy, modern, fashionable, and so on. But what does that mean to you? You know for sure that sin will lead to eternal damnation in hell. Be wise.

Challenge: Satan cannot force you to sin

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to overcome Satan’s allurement.
